BIO : Yvette joined A.M. Best in May 2009. She is responsible for identifying and analyzing insurance trends and issues in markets outside the United States, Bermuda and Canada. Following desk-based and field research, she writes and edits in-depth thought leadership reports, working closely with senior analytic staff in the A.M. Best U.S., London and Dubai offices and the ratings division management to help determine A.M. Best’s position on relevant issues. Yvette is also responsible for communications, tasked with creating and delivering the company’s media strategy in London, Dubai and Asia. In addition to dealing with day-to-day media requests, she has taken an active approach to raising the company’s profile and brand. To help showcase A.M. Best’s expertise as the leading specialist insurance ratings agency, she frequently conducts interviews with colleagues and key figures within the sector for A.M. Best TV. Prior to joining A.M. Best, Yvette was the insurance and pensions correspondent for the Daily and Sunday Telegraph. She was also deputy editor of Questor, the newspaper’s share tipping column. During her seven-year career at the Telegraph, she also held the post of stock market reporter. Before joining the Telegraph, she was the senior London market reporter at Insurance Times. In 2009, Yvette was named the Association of British Insurers’ Insurance Journalist of the Year. She also won the Journalist of the Year accolade at the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) awards in 2005.
