RMS - Client Manager
Biography : Julia has a background in science and geology, having studied at the University of Cambridge. Since she has joined the insurance industry, she has worked across many different global (re)insurance companies in her consulting work. The highlights of her career so far have been representing the insurance industry on a panel at the UN headquarters in Geneva, addressing the country representatives to explain ways to measure disaster risk, and presenting at the UN Disaster Risk Reduction conference in Japan, which had the aim of agreeing the 15 year Sendai Framework, in order to promote the insurance industry’s methods of measuring risk. Since being located in Zurich, she played a key role in organizing the first ISCM (International Society of Catastrophe Managers) Zurich conference day along with Kirsten Mitchell-Wallace. Her current interests (at the moment only within her current company) are understanding workplace issues and fighting to promote a workplace for equal opportunities, and she would be very interested to make connections with others approaching similar challenges.
